Who do I pay? How much and how?

Any payments made for the cabin trip can be made to Raashi via Venmo (@raashib) or Zelle (raashib2010@gmail.com). The payment amount will vary, please refer to the individual Cabin

What is the last date for the initial payment due? What is the last day to back out and get the money back?

Payment dates will vary every year. We try our best to be flexible and accommodate any changes you might have in your plans. Refer to the Cabin Trip page for the year for more details. If you need a different arrangement for payments, don’t hesitate to reach out to Raashi. We want to have you join us and will be happy to work with you to find alternatives.

I made a payment for a group shared expense. How do I get reimbursed?

We often split expenses like groceries, rental cars, and miscellaneous expenses during the trip and do accounting afterward. Please keep a note of any shared expenses you make during or before the trip. Make sure to save the receipts as well. We will share more details after the trip on how to share your expenses with us. Following that we will communicate on who owes whom and how much once all expenses are submitted.

What is included in the payment I make?

Here are two immediate things we ask from you to confirm your spot. 1/ Make the initial deposit for the accommodation to Raashi as per instructions in the Cabin Trip page. 2/ Make your flight bookings and share your arrival and departure details with Raashi.

Details around any other shared group costs (for example: rental cars, groceries, etc) will be shared after the trip. More details will follow closer to the trip.

Note: You pay for your own flights separately. Any recreational activities you do are at your own expense.

How do the bedrooms and bathrooms get allocated?

It depends. Every year, we will have a different group of people in a new house. The general preference is to keep people together as they wish. Sometimes, you might have to share a bedroom or bathroom with others. Sometimes there might be bunkbeds (rare but happens – a couch). If you have any restrictions or special requirements, please reach out to Raashi and we’ll work with you to make the required arrangements.

Can I bring my pets?

It depends! Although we’ve gone on Cabin Trips with our furry friends in the past, sometimes due to the restrictions in our accommodation venue, this becomes challenging. Contact us and we’ll be happy to confirm for the trip.

How do I stay up to date with all the communication?

Best way to get the latest updates is to drop a message to Raashi with your cellphone to be added to the Facebook Messenger group. This is where the chatter happens within the people joining for the Cabin Trip. Also, Subscribe with your email address here to get the latest updates via email.

What kind of games are played?

It’s all fun and games when we’re in the Cabin. We usually chat, drink, play board games, cook, and much more when at home. Every year, a small group decides a special game which you will find out about only if you’re there 😉

Participation is always optional, so if you want to just relax, feel free to do so.

What do I need to bring for the trip?

Other than your personal stuff, we don’t require you to bring any additional stuff. Check the individual Cabin Trip page for details. We always love and appreciate it if you do plan to bring something to share with the group.
